On my second trip to Perhentian, many years after my first, I could still feel this inexorable pull towards simplicity in life. We tend to tolerate an unbearable amount of adversity in our pursuit of money.
Not to diminish the struggle among folks who live in these parts, but the beauty and seasonality of life must account for some measure of happiness.
I love the way the wind blows in this neighborhood. It’s much easier to get grounded, and feel in your bones what really matters, hanging on the east coast of Malaysia.
