I’d be curious to know other things about people who reject durian. I feel like there is a deep correlation between a rejection of durian and the characteristics of a person’s personality. Perhaps a research study for someone at Yale.
In a strange way, I feel like Durian teaches us Westerners how to appreciate our differences. In Malaysia, durian is sacred. Durian season can seem quasi-religious.
I r-e-a-l-l-y like the stuff. There is no single adjective to describe durian. People try to find the words, but it’s hopelessly beyond comprehension. It’s like the planet Mars.
